Haringey Delivers Bins To Housing Estates

Haringay Council has introduced on-site recycling facilites to residents across its housing estates. The council will be introducing recycling banks to estates across the borough, enabling residents to recycle paper, cardboard plastic bottles, tins, cans, glass bottles & jars. The roll out began with the introduction of mixed material banks Campsbourne Estate, N8 & will now continue around the borough until the banks are installed in every estate. According to the council, once the recycling facilities have been introduced, all residents will recieve a leaflet & accompanying letter to explain which materials they can recycle. The roll out followed an investment from the council into a new fleet of collection vehicles. Cabinet member for environmental and conservation, councillior Brian Haley, said:"Our new Greenest Borough Strategy sets out the need to ensure that every Haringey resident has access to high quality recycling facilities. Our roll out of the new estates recycling banks is a massive step towards that goal."
