Guide To Glass Corrosion

The American Ceramic Society has just published a book entitled "Corrosion of Materials by Molten Glass." Aimed at the materials process engineer, the book deals with numerous corrosion problems in the glass industry, listing case studies and details of specific corrosion mechanisms. It contains 21 papers ranging from the corrosion of glass furnace electrodes and refractories by various glass compositions to the contamination of glass by such corrosive interactions.
