Guardian Industries - Executive Killed In Plane Crash

Guardian Industries Corp announced their deep sadness at the news that one of their most senior executives, D L Ford, was killed on 3 April in a plane crash over Croatia. Mr Ford, aged 43, was one of 12 US business executives accompanying US Secretary of Commerce R H Brown on a commercial trade mission to Bosnia and Croatia. During the mission, Mr Ford was to donate 23 metric tons of flat glass to Sarajevo (enough to produce roughly 8,000 windows), as the war-torn Bosnian capital begins to rebuild. The glass has now been delivered to a Sarajevo hospital where a plaque commemorating Mr Ford's final effort will be displayed.
