Guardian Glass - Happy 10Th Anniversary!

Congratulations to Guardian Glass who are celebrating their 10th anniversary in the UK. Since the official opening of Guardian's Eggborough, Goole, plant in 2003, the company has gone from strength to strength and are now considered by many to be one of the leading suppliers of flat glass products in the UK. As Guardian's UK business has developed, so have their facilities. In 2008 the company invested £6M in a state-of-the-art laminating line which enabled Guardian to better service customer requirements, ensuring shorter lead times with laminated glass being made on-site, rather than imported from sister plants. A further investment of £35M was made in 2012 when the company started up one of the world's most technically advanced magnetron glass coaters at Goole. This new facility provides more control over coated glasses and the ability to tailor coat glass products specifically for the UK market, which greatly differs from the markets Guardian are so well accustomed to in continental Europe. The company has a long-term "best in service" strategy which has seen the company make a meteoric rise as they change the face of mixed loads and fast efficient delivery in the float glass industry. Guardian's most recent launch in 2012 is "Guardian Plus" which extends way past customers, providing business support to all glass and glazing industry professionals, as well as architects, developers and specifiers.
