[Guardian] Full Convection Flat Tempering Installation In Canada

A third full convection flat tempering line has been installed by Glassrobots OY at Guardian's Rexdale processing plant in Canada. The two earlier machines (supplied in 2007-8) process a high percentage of 3mm clear and soft coated glass in large sizes, which made quality processing of thin glasses the most important criteria for Guardian. Tempering trial evaluations prior to the investment decision on 3mm glass with sizes above 1.2m proved that RoboTemp either met or exceeded Guardian's quality requirements. Furthermore, as far as energy consumption is concerned, the system was found to be very efficient, with heating power about 10-20% less while processing more tonnage. Specifically designed for processing the latest low-E and other high performance glass types, the RoboTemp FTM tempering line features a patented true convection heating system and the Fuzzy Temp automatic on-line heat profiling system.
