To coincide with the launch of the latest "World Packaging Companies" report, this article provides an insight into the status of the top 10 players, who are: Tetra Pak (Sweden); SSCC (USA); Amcor (Australia); Crown Holdings (USA); International Paper (USA); Owens-Illinois (USA); Alcan (Canada); Toyo Seikan (Japan); Rexam (UK); and Ball Corp (USA). Ball-Foster Glass Container Co. was created as a joint venture glass company with Group Saint Gobain, in September 1995. Ball sold its remaining interest in Ball-Foster to Group Saint Gobain in 1996 and exited the glass business.
