Water companies will shortly hear the results of groundbreaking trials into recycled glass as a media for treating drinking water and wastewater. The independent trials, funded by WRAP, and conducted by water treatment specialist Aqua Enviro, have indicated recycled glass could reduce both the economical and environmental costs of filtration. Around 100 senior figures from government, the EA, OFWAT and filtration equipment manufacturers are expected to attend Recycled Glass Filtration Media - The facts, at the Royal Armouries, Brewery Wharf, Leeds on 23 February.
