Government Fluorescent Tube Recycling Contract Awarded

A government contract to recycle fluorescent tubes has been awarded to Manchester-based Mercury Recycling Ltd, the only UK company operating specialist equipment which breaks down the tubes and allows total recovery for eventual re-use of all its component parts. It is estimated that the amount of spent fluorescent tubes is in excess of 60m per annum.
