Glassmaker Helps To Prevent Environmental Damage

Allied Glass Containers has been awarded ISO 14001 registration by BSI. Awarded in June, the registration is based on the concept of the prevention of environmental damage. A specialist team worked with the company to make its whole operation as environmentally sound as possible. To achieve this, an environmental review of all of the company's sites was completed. An environmental policy was then drafted based on information gained from the review. The final step was to implement a company-wide environmental strategy that ensured that Allied Glass would continue to pursue best practice in environmental management.
