Glass Tile Cleans Up

Glass recycling creates a number of environmental advantages. As glass is not biodegradable, landfill is not a sustainable disposal option - particularly so given the escalating cost of landfill and increasing landfill tax. Every tonne of cullet used in glassmaking potentially salves 1.1 tonnes of virgin raw material and 140 litres of oil. The amount of energy that is required to make glass from totally recycled material can be up to 35% less as the material has already been fired once.
