Glass Technology Services Wins Grant

British Glass' independent R&D arm, Glass Technology Services (Glass Technology Services) has been awarded a grant by the UK's Technology Strategy Board (TSB) to forward advances in technology and innovation. The grant is part of a £20M government investment through the TSB which seeks to stimulate innovation in five technologies. The development will include a working prototype production facility for industrial manufacture of phosphate fibre tows. The specialist fibres can be used for biomedical applications.
