Glass Technology Services (Glass Technology Services) has been awarded the position of technical advisor at Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP). The contract coincides with an invitation from WRAP for Glass Technology Services to sit on its panel of experts as part of its Project Monitors scheme. The role of technical advisor will see Glass Technology Services support WRAP's glass related activities on an informal basis. It will use its core glass expertise to support and advise WRAP on areas including: Glass technology & properties of glass; Waste glass sorting technologies for separately collected, mixed or single stream recyclable materials; Design of glass bulking and sorting facilities, as well as their cost-effective and efficient operations; Glass sampling & quality assessment; Health & Safety advice for the requirements of handling and storage of cullet; & the implementation of specifications.
