PET Engineering experience in technology and design created a PET wine bottle that strongly resembles a classic glass bottle. The 0.75L bottle recalls the silhouette of a typical Bordeaux wine bottle with a cylindrical shape, pronounced shoulder and concove bottom. It is sealed with an aluminium cap and a BVS filet similar to those used for screw caps on glass wine bottles. The bottle followed research examining the minute details of bottles, in order to transmit the same tastes of freshness and old flavour that glass does. In-depth studies were also carried out on technical dimensions, shelf life, organoleptic features, environmental conditions, bottling process and logistics. Once all requirements were envisaged, PET Engineering collaborated with CONSTAR International, a US based company.
