Glass Conditioning System

BH-F has produces the 400 Series working end which it says can be designed and built to suit most types of furnace and line layouts. Its advantages include: improved glass homogeneity; better glass temperature stability; faster temperature response; operational flexibility; automatic temperature control over a wide range of tonnages; easy to operate and maintain; simpler, faster construction and reuse of roof blocks. Rather than acting as a simple glass reservoir, the working end is a distribution system that conditions and controls the glass at the earliest stage in the process. Zoning within the working end prior to each forehearth entry gives more control over temperature and centre line cooling, the same feature as that of the 400 series forehearth. The 400 series working end can distribute glass to any number of forehearths over a range of tonnage pulls.
