The new glass packaging for Hayman's Gin range has started shipping to UK retailers and, through distributors, to export markets around the world. The family celebrated 150 years of gin distilling by re-launching its Hayman's Gin range in a new glass bottle created by O-I and design agency Cook Chick. Paul McLavin, marketing manger N W Europe for O-I said: "The whole gin industry is on the move, with customers developing new gin styles, especially at the craft end of the market, and looking for distinctive, premium glass packaging to convey the right image. The Hayman's project is one of the most technically challenging new designs we have made in the UK this year. The successful completion of the project bears witness to the expertise of our team in the plant which has brought a bottle to market which meets the stringent and complex design specifications set by our customers." O-I has produced a square bottle with four very flat panels which taper outwards towards the shoulder, based on a bespoke family bottle from 1947 which was discovered in the brand's archives in London.
