A former Morrison Bowmore Distillers director is looking to set up a £10M Scotch whisky distillery in Glasgow's city centre. Tim Morrison has submitted a planning application for the site, with building work expected to be completed by 2015. Morrison's son Andrew is also involved in the project, alongside former Bowmore brand marketing director Glen Moore and distillery production engineer Harry Cockburn. Morrison said the River Clyde development will help boost the area in Glasgow. Up to 25 permanent jobs will be created in the distillery and visitors centre, he added. The distillery is to be built in a former pump house on the Clyde, between Glasgow's Riverside Museum and the Hydro arena.
