Gerresheimer Purchase

A recent statement from Gerresheimer said it has purchased 70% stakes in 2 China-based pharmaceutical packaging ventures. With these two joint ventures with China's BGIF Group, Gerresheimer will have its won production plant in China for medical-use glassware. BGIF, which has 550 employees, manufactures and processes laboratory glassware at two plants in Beijing. Sales in 2006 are expected to be around 10M Euros. Growth in sales for the two Gerresheimer-controlled ventures is forecast to be more than 20% in 2007.
