Gerresheimer Glas AG reported that its shareholders approved the sale of 8 container glass subsidiaries for DM 185.1m at an extraordinary meeting. The acquisition agreements were due to be as follows: Groupe Danone SA (DA) subsidiary BSN Containerglas GmbH & Co KG will acquire the shares of the 8 Gerresheimer subsidiaries, all of which are in the beverages and food container segment, Gerresheimer said. Gerresheimer, Danone and financial investor CVC Capital Partners agreed to the sale in the summer. Shortly afterwards, the EU Commission approved it. Danone will integrate all container-glass operations in its French subsidary, BSN Emballage, with those of Gerresheimer's 8 container glass subsidiaries, Geresheimer said.
