Gerresheimer recently signed a contract for the supply of sterile syringes for flu vaccines to Russia, for the next five years, with Russian pharmaceutics company NPO Petrovax Pharm. NPO will use such syringes from 2006 for a new generation of flu vaccines for which the company is commissioning a purpose built plant near Moscow. The syringes, filled with the precise vaccination dose, are to be marketed in Russia and other states of the CIS. Syringe systems such as those produced in Gerresheimer's pharaSystems Division by Bunder Glas under the trademark RTF (Ready-to-Fill) are regarded today as the most advanced category of syringes are are achieving strong growth. On delivery they are already fully prepared in accordance with all the relevant pharmacy standards.
