Germany's insolvent Sovello has stopped all production on its photovoltaic (PV) product assembly lines until further notice. The reason has been attributed to declining sales in recent weeks. Its 500 employees were set to leave their jobs on 1st September 2012. An arrangement was also made for its 22 trainees, who were also let go, to be given support in searching for a new training course. Despite the current difficult situation, the search for an investor is continuing and talks are being held. Lucas Flother, who was appointed liquidator following the opening of the company's insolvency proceedings, said the continuation of production would only lead to further mosses, meaning the chance to save the company would then be over. Sovello fell into bankruptcy in May 2012 after acknowledging it could no longer pay its debts.
