[Germany] Lehrs Reducing Energy Use

Saint-Gobain Oberland is modernising the annealing lehrs at its site in Essen, Germany, with systems developed by supplier Futronic. The new development is designed to reduce error rates and refit times as well as lower energy consumption by around 10%. As part of the project, a control system will replace traditional safety technology in the control station, for which Futronic will engineer the electronics, develop the application software and build the control cabinets.
