[Germany] Essen Container Plant Modernises Lehrs

Container glass manufacturer Saint-Gobain Oberland has modernised two annealing lehrs at its Essen facility with an electronic control system from German supplier Futronic. The custom-designed system has been installed to lower error quotas and refitting times, thereby reducing operation costs. Futronic designed the technology for the unit, which is tailored for the complex cooling processes required in glass production, in collaboration with the plant's specialists.
