German Glass Sector: Compulsory Deposit Does Not Protect Return System

The German glass industry continues to be in favour of a duty rather than a compulsory deposit on single-trip beverage packaging. This is because the compulsory deposit is failing to protect the return systems. Despite the deposit, single-trip packaging is on an upward trend, criticises the Action Form Glas, according to information form the Society for Glass Recycling & Waste Management (GGA) in Ravensburg.
