A range of kilns for the hot working of glass (melting, bending and decorating) are available from TK Tekno Kilns Srl. The Italian company say its Vega range is being successfully used throughout Europe by producers of decorated glass, cast glass, stained glass, glass ornaments, pate de verre and curved glass items. The kilns have an effective working temperature of 950 deg C, although TK Tekno Kilns has also built kilns with working temperatures up to 1,150 deg C. The Vega range includes kilns measuring from a minimum 500x500x200mm to maximum of 2,500x1,500x400mm. Larger kilns can be built to meet specific requirements.
