Saudi Arabian Glass Co (SAGCO) has specified Quantum's TWT forming system for its IS machine, currently being built by Emhart Glass in Sweden. This is the eighth IS machine with Quantum technology that SAGCO specified at its Jeddah plant. The AIS machine will use the Quantum design NNPB, coupled to the TFA-Total Forming Analysis process control. The TFA is a full length stroke design coupled to the IS machines' intended timing commands, creating a real-time view of the blank side forming operations. It uses new technology for display and control of the tube mechanism for gob weight control and forming analysis.
