Food Labelling: Consolidation Of Uk Regulations

The European Commission review of Food Labelling legislation is currently under way and a discussion document from the Commission is expected to be published later this year. This is likely to be followed by more detailed proposals for action in 2006. The Food Standards Agency intends to consult fully with interested parties at all stages of the review process and it seems likely that any exercise to consolidate UK Food Labelling Regulations will be re-scheduled to occur within the context of the Commission's review.
