According to the French press, Glaverbel is said to be studying the possibility of building a large-scale industrial plant (involving an investment of FFr650m) in the south of France or in Spain, in the province of Aragon. Two possible French sites are Bayonne and Rivesaltes. Glaverbel's interest in this region stems from a belief that its presence in this part of Europe is too weak, compared to its established base on the east-west axis. However, Glaverbel management has formally denied the reality of such a project in southern Europe. The company admits it is studying projects in various areas, although passively, while remaining ready for any possible development should the opportunity present itself. (whole article)
