Flexible Labelling System For Whisky Bottles

A Scottish whisky merchant and independent bottler has acquired an automatic self-adhesive labelling system from Graham Engineering to meet increased demand for its products. Duncan Taylor has installed a Front & Back Commander 200-25 with an orientation unit. The ability to orientate the bottle was one of the primary requirements of the new system as this ensures labels up to 200mm high are placed on the bottles in specific alignment and are not applied over the bottle seams. The line is hand fed and labels up to 100/minute. As the system is used for a variety of whiskies with different sizes and shapes of labels, ultrasonic label sensors are fitted. Graham Engineering also offers a comprehensive range of tamper banding and full body sleeving systems and tunnels suitable for speeds between 60-600 applications per minute.
