Flexibility For The Cold End

Today's glass plant equipment is designed for flexibility. New IS machine series are able to produce different bottles at the same time, which has an immediate effect on the cold end. The bottle types have to be identified and separated right after the lehr in order to be placed on different pallets. This requires flexibility for the entire line, as well as for the palletiser cell. According to MSK, using their technology, based on the bottle line configuration given into the graphic touch panel HMI - the MSK EMSY - all parameters can be tracked straight into the palletiser PLC and can be downloaded without the setting of new parameters. In the case of non-round bottles, the new MSK bottle turning unit can be put into the line. The unit is a compact solution which can be moved by hand thanks to a light frame and wheels. The quick connection to the line is similar to putting a printer plug into a computer: just plug in the line, EMSY will recognise the bottle turning unit, connect the system via a password, and then the bottle parameters are automatically transferred and the bottle turning unit is part of the line.
