Flake Glass Crystals

Leeds-based Glassflake, has developed nano particulate flake glass products. So far, sample materials are currently available, with production quantities available from November. The nano particulate flake glass products are sized at less than 100nm and applications include thermoset and thermoplastic polymers and films. The flake glass can be used on its own, with clay silica nano-flake or fibre. Benefits include improved fire retardancy with better mechanical properties and chemical resistance.
