Flachglas - Plant Closures Possible

A spokesman for parent company Pilkington Deutschland GmbH said fears that some Flachglas Automotive GmbH plants (workforce around 1,300) could be shut down were justified due to the fact that market conditions in Europe had changed. The company was therefore working on a restructuring plan for Flachglas Automotive. A final decision was to be made at the supervisory board meeting on 6-7 March. (whole item)
