First Russian Bottles For Western Europe

The first Russian made glass bottles to be exported to Western Europe are being used in Finland to bottle Kosenkorva vodka made by Altia Corp. Bottles made by VedaPak are being used, supplied through its Scandinavian distributor, Refomatic. VedaPak is submitting bids to supply bottles of other users in Norway, Sweden and Finland through Reformatic for soft drinks and foods as well as alcoholic beverages. Bottles made by VedaPak are also being used by clients in the Baltic states of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia for beers; coffee; and juices. VedaPak continues to invest in its glass bottle production facilities in Russia, where it can already produce 500M bottles/y. It is also building a float glass plant in Novgorod for its subsidiary roSteklo in a $190M project. Two furnaces are being installed with accompanying production lines to make 600/tpd.
