Fibre Optics Are Expanding

Schott is investing DM18m in a new production plant in Mainz for the Fibre Optics Division, currently located in Wiesbaden. From mid-2000 onward, production of high-quality glass fibres and fibre optic components for applications in the fields of medical technology, automobile lighting, architectural lighting, traffic engineering and industry can be expanded by one third in the new factory premises on the over 26,000 sqm site.
