Evolution Through Collaboration

Based in the Portuguese glass-making hub of Marinha Grande, Vidromecanica was established in 1984 to produce equipment for the glass manufacturing industry. Today, with its sister company Icebel, it has around 100 staff. Portuguese-based Vidromecanica is in the first stage of a two-part expansion of its production facilities, due to be completed in the summer of 2017. In this article the company's commercial director and sales manager speak about the future ambitions of the firm and its new R&D initiative, which has helped one of its customers save drastically on the gas consumption of its new lehr.
