Environmentally-Friendly Glass Enamel

German-based Ceredec has recently announced the launch of a new environmentally-friendly enamel for automotive and arthitectural glass, after the successful completion of 6 months of field tests by its glass division. Today, highly opaque glass colours are available with environmental and technical advantages, some of which are: improved loading permits lower transmission of light; reduced VOCs allow wet-firing with less porosity; infrared curing installs a strong polymer network for greater film hardness; & warning label unnecessary because of non-toxic nature.
