Enamels Specialist Celebrates 100 Years

Pemco International, specialist supplier of enamels, conductive pastes and colouring frits, celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2011. Created in Baltimore, USA, the company has developed into a global enterprise in recent years, supplying international glass industry customers with functional and decorative enamels, conductive silver pastes and forehearth colouring frits. Much of the company's expansion has been realised within the past decade, following its acquisition from Bayer AG by a consortium of private investors and banks in 1997. With headquarters in Nijmegen, NL, the group employs over 400 and operates companies in Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Italy, Spain and the USA, generating turnover of around 130M Euros in 2010. With regard to the glass industry, the company specialises in the supply of functional and decorative enamels into the automotive, architectural, home appliance and hollow glass markets, together with silver conductor inks for the auto sector and glass frits for forehearth coloration.
