[Egypt] Raya In Joint Venture With Interpane

The strength of glass growth throughout the Middle East and North African markets has been clearly shown by an announcement by RAYA that it has ventured into the glass processing industry in partnership with Interpane, a leading German company in the field of innovative architectural glass products. The new company will operate under the name Interpane Egypt LLC, with 50% stake by Raya and the remaining 50% for Interpane. Interpane Egypt will have the exclusive right to distribute the Interpane License to other glass manufacturing and processing factories in Egypt. The joint venture will also establish a float glass coating plant by 2010. The factory will produce high performance glass for solar and heat control applications.
