Egypt's crystal manufacturer Asfour Crystal has become the country's largest glass exporter, with 223.5m/Egyptian pounds (US$25m) equalling 26% of Egypt's glass exports. According to a recent report from the Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council, Egypt's exports of glass products declined by 13% in 2015 to register EGP 1BN vs EGP 1.2bh in 2014. The report said that ten companies have 80.8% of the total exports (which total EGP 852.1 pounds). After Asfour Crystal follows: Misr Glass Manufacturing Co with exports estimated around EGP 189.6m. Third was Misr Cafe Glass Co, followed by the Cedar Glass Co. The report also showed that Sudan captured 23% of Egyptian glass exports followed by Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and China.
