Final offers for Bormioli, the Italian container glass manufacturer controlled by Banco Popolare through Partecipazioni Italiane (81%) and Efibanca (14.3%), are expected by mid-June 2008, news agency Radiocor has learned from financial sources. US fund Oaktree and Italian container glass manufacturer Vetrerie Meridionali, the two parties bidding for control of Bormioli, are in the final evaluation phase prior to the submission of binding offers. Bormioli posted a profit of EUR 536 million in 2007, up 4.5%. However, Glassonline reported 25 November 2009, the company was "presently controlled by Efibanca."
