The Effect Of Hmdso Plasma Polymerisation On The Surface And Technolgical Properties Of Wool Knitted Fabrics

LTP plasma technology (low temperature plasma) is used in different productive fields and more recently in the textile industry as an alternative to wet chemical treatments such as anti-felting finishing, or to modify the hydrophilic behaviour and the wettability of fabrics and fibres. This study concentrates on the reduction of pilling of knitted fabrics by means of plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition (PECVD) of a Si: Ox;Cy;Hz thin film.
