Ec Food Contact Materials Database

The European Commission (EC) database on food contact materials went live in April. The main purpose of this database is to increase transparency on the risk assessment and authorisation procedure of substances to be used in food. The database is available online in the 'Topics' section of the food contact materials EC website: ec.europa.eu/food/food/chemicalsafety/foodcontact/eu_legisl_en.htm.
