The EU Commission has launched an investigation into claims that Chinese solar glass producers are dumping their products in the EU at below market value. The Commission said there was enough evidence to show possible dumping by Chinese exporters that may be injuring the EU industry. The EU solar glass market is valued at less than 200M Euros, which accounts for a fraction of the EU's imports of goods from China (293 BN Euros in 2011) In 2012, the Commission launched its largest investigation into alleged dumping of, and subsidies for, an annual 21BN Euros of solar equipment China exports to the EU.
