Diageo Rolls Out Guinness Nutritional Labels To Ireland

Diageo has extended the release of its on-label nutritional information and alcohol content initiative for Guinness to include 50cl cans in Ireland. The new labels include calories, carbohydrates, protein and sugar as well as grams of alcohol per serve and warnings on drink-driving and consuming alcohol during pregnancy. The group said that the move makes Guinness the first global beer brand to provide Irish consumers with the information. The labels, which will also appear on 10cl serves, are part of the Diageo Consumer Information Standards, which launched in 2016. The company aims to roll out the initiative across its portfolio in Ireland over the next 12 months.
