Diageo - Move Out Of The Uk "Plausible"

The CEO of UK spirits company Diageo, Paul Walsh said he cannot rule out that his company might leave the country. Due to recent corporate tax changes in the UK, Mr Walsh said that his company was considering all options, adding that moving abroad was "Certainly plausible, but I hope it doesn't happen." Diageo and other firms in the UK must pay higher taxes even if most of their operations are located outside the UK. In a Sky News interview, he declared: "The way to stop it happening is to have a competitive tax regime and what has happened in the UK is not competitive."
