By automatic monitoring and tracking of container defects in the forming process, Quantum has taken the lead to develop a software application that integrates the collection, identification and correction of defects from the cold end and puts it into the hands of the forming operator. This software, described in this article, is called DCAP (Defect Correction and Analysis Program) and is an independent component that can be used on any OEM equipment running in any glass container factory.
