[Decoration] Flock Comes Out On Top

The recent GlassPrint 2011 conference and exhibition in Dusseldorf featured a presentation from Kissel + Wolf and MAAG Flockmaschinen GmbH entitled "Flock - Surface Treatment: Flocking on Hollow and other types of Glass." Like almost every other material, the flocking technique can also enhance glass finishing. An adhesive-coated glass substrate is electrostatically flocked with synthetic fibres and produces a surface with a textile velour character. This type of surface coating can be extremely resistant, even withstanding the rigours of a dishwasher.
