StarBev have announced the first series of investments into flagship beer brand Staropramen. The investments include a 1.2M/Euro modernisation of the Staropramen Visitors Centre in Prague, and the roll-out of a new international marketing campaign focusing on building the brands equity as Prague's number one beer in the world. These investments will help pave the way for further expansion into key markets internationally. "We are proud that Staropramen is Prague's number one beer in the world. The appetite for Czech beer has never been stronger and our focus for the next 12 months is to gain market share in the Czech beer segment internationally. We will continue to focus on building the brand equity through investments and innovation and we will look to forge and strengthen strategic partnerships that will help bring Starpramen to new markets," said Alain Beynes, CEO of StarBev. In 2010, total turnover in Staropramen's export countries grew by double-digits, a trend that StarBev hopes to continue through 2011 and 2012. Staropramen will be launched in Asia in 2012.
