Cut Tax On Beer To Save British Pubs

A campaign to boost Britain's pubs was launched recently in a bid to halt a wave of closures - said to be running at 50 a week. Drinkers, publicans and politicians have been asked to do more to help reverse the trend. The British Beer & Pub Association and the Society of Independent Brewers are urging the government to cut the tax on beer to protect "a unique British Institution."
