Cruciform Checkers

Cruciform checkers developed by Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, were first introduced to glass furnaces in 1972. Cruciforms have represented a major technological improvement in the energy efficiency, surface life, and resistance to plugging, in regenerators for glass melters. More than 1100 furnaces around the world have been equipped with cruciform checkers in more than 30 years since they were introduced. They are recognised through the glass industry as a critical component for optimal regenerative furnace performance. The latest generation of Type 6 cruciforms reduces risk of plugging in the sulphate gas condensation zone. For more information please see: www.sefpro.com
