Critical Temperature Measurements In Glass Container Operations

Recognising the importance of controlling precisely the temperature of the gob and the blank mould to facilitate the optimum forming of glass containers, BASF Catalysts developed two advanced temperature sensor systems. Designed to directly measure the temperature of each gob during free-fall and the blank mould temperature once per machine cycle, the systems allow continuous control, as explained in this article.
